This story is about a sixteen year old courageous girl named Frost. Her entire life she lived alone in an abandoned apartment with her loving pet, Romes, the only living creature she has left and a robot as her companion. Before Frost’s father died, he uploaded his consciousness into their robot servant because he wanted to protect Frost. But he fades in and out as the technology malfunctioned.
She sets off on an adventurous
journey with hopes to find medicine for her dying pet. Her father had prevented
her to go outside into the haunted streets below where lurking rogue robots,
and Eaters are constantly hunting for human flesh and fresh blood.
However, she decides to save her pet
with the hope that she could find the Battery.
Her father was describing the Battery as a blue glowing light found on
the other side of the ravaged city that could save her dying pet. She knew her
trek would be dangerous for she has to confront the ruthless Eaters and robots.
Consequently, she is determined to stand up for herself and save Romes because
she knew no one is going to come to their rescue. She understands that she has
to face the challenges; either to do or die.
In this situation, what will happen
when Frost steps out of her apartment for the first time in sixteen years
without any awareness of outside world? Will her robot companion help her face
the challenges and escape from the vicious Eaters and rogue robots? What will
be her reaction talking to the first boy she’s ever set eyes on? Will her
journey be successful to protect her dying pet? With only little bookish
knowledge, will Frost survive or become prey to the Eaters?

ReplyDeleteI've never actually heard of this book, but it sounds very cool! Might have to check it out
Loved the plot of the book. Immediately had me hooked from the beginning. I'm so curious to know what's going to happen to Frost and Romes.
ReplyDeleteFrost is a very interesting book. Its one of the books I actually finished reading. You also explain the story very well! I cant wait 4 the sequel.
ReplyDeleteGreat review of Frost, looking forward to reading the novel. I have heard of the book and your review has further encouraged me to read it, thanks!
ReplyDeleteFrost is a great book. The cover page itself is so appealing. With several plot twists, it’s not only tempting for the young adults but adults could also enjoy reading this book. My favourite part was uploading Alex’s (Frost’s father) consciousness into Bunt, Frost’s robot companion. It’s a different thing that the technology malfunctioned, otherwise it’s a fantastic idea that every parent would think about being with their kids to protect them in every step of their life. The ending of the book is really a big surprise. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book.
